Dua

Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August, 1995 in London United Kingdom. She decided to sign to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as an actress and then launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. It peaked at third place at the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked track New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa received an award at the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified as platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Future Nostalgia's sophomore album was released in 2020. Help her celebrate here. Dua Lipa was conceived in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Her parents are of Kosovo Albanian descent. Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. Also, her ancestors come from the Kosovo town Peja. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. Gjin and Rina are her twins. Her father, a guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan group Oda was a major influence on her music. The family home where Lipa grew up, was one in which her father played music by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was only 5 years old. It was the Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing when she turned nine. Lipa performed If I Ain't Goin' to You by Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa was approached for an recording deal by Warner Bros. Records in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released on August 2015.
